I4 CAPITAL FUND INVESTS IN BEONYX TO ACCELERATE THE COMMERCIALIZATION OF ITS DUAL-USE ELECTRIC ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLES
Saguenay, Canada – September 17, 2026 – Beonyx, a Quebec-based company located in Saguenay that designs durable, dual-use electric all-terrain vehicles for extreme environments, announced today the closing of a private investment in its seed round by i4 Capital Fund “This partnership with i4 Capital Fund comes at a pivotal moment for Beonyx,” says Louis Déry, Co-Founder and CEO of Beonyx. “After demonstrating the value of the B1 vehicle with demanding clients such as Canada’s Department of National Defence, we now have the resources to accelerate our commercialization and meet a growing demand for durable and robust all-terrain mobility.”
The funds will be used to accelerate the commercialization of the B1 vehicle, Beonyx’s flagship vehicle designed to operate in extreme conditions—dense forests, rocky terrain, and icy surfaces (Arctic). This funding comes as Beonyx has recently secured major contracts with Canada’s Department of National Defence, a validation that confirms the robustness of its technology for demanding applications. Beonyx is preparing to deliver vehicles intended for MEDEVAC (casualty evacuation) missions for the Canadian Army in the near future. “Beonyx has proven the reliability of its technology with demanding clients, including Canada’s Department of National Defence, which speaks volumes about the maturity of its product,” highlights Jean-François Grenon, Partner at i4 Capital Fund. “We believe in the potential of the Beonyx team to transform all-terrain mobility in extreme conditions, and we are proud to support them in this next stage of commercialization.”
In addition, Canada’s Minister of National Defence announced on July 14, 2026, the launch of the Uncrewed Systems Defence Innovation Secure Hub (UxS DISH), sponsored by the Canadian Joint Forces Command (CJFC). The SDIH UxS, composed of 30 organizations—including Beonyx—will receive $29.6 million over two years and will provide a secure environment allowing government, industry, academia, and innovators to collaborate to design, test, validate, and integrate emerging unmanned systems technologies into operational capabilities.
